1. A half anchovy pizza becomes a whole anchovy pizza because of the stench.

2. Ok, chalk one in the folly column.

I would have thought that the infamous anchovy grease would seep over too.

6. That's my experience.
And I worked at a pizza place for three years.

A half anchovy pizza also turns whatever space the smell reaches into an anchovy zone for quite some time as well.

7. I delivered pizzas part time for about a year.
It took a couple of days to get the anchovy smell out of my car after every fish pie I delivered.

9. Yep, our drivers had the same problem.
And the pizza bags... whew. If there was any kind of leakage out of the box and into the bag, it had to be soaked in water and bleach.

4. Folly - what auntAgonist said.
I usually have some on hand in case the pizza people don't put on enough. They seldom do.

5. Absolutely. Just request that the anchovies are cut in half.

13. Only if you're a Pisces, working for scale.
Seriously, bait, pineapple, or back bacon, transform what should be gastronomic bliss, into the equivalent of munching on a hot circle of garbage.

14. Yum! I remember doing that once, taking the pizza to go into a bar I had never been in
The owner/bartender came sniffing (under the guise of taking our beer order). He was salivating. Shared a chunk of the anchovie part and made a friend for as long as he owned the bar.

Now, I keep a can of anchovies in the freezer (a little goes a LONG ways) and they peel out easily when I make frozen pizza at home. Have you ever tried the Korean Kimchee ("a traditional Korean fermented dish made of vegetables with varied seasonings")? Turns out it's the anchovies in it that gives it the YUM factor. Now you've got me doing the munchies, too late to be cooking a pizza! WHY did I read this thread?

15. Anchovy good
I love them on pizza, or even on buttered toast. Mashed up with some creamcheese and other goodies into Liptauer Spread with crackers. I'd rather see a pizza with anchovies than what you see on them nowadays.
Chicken, pineapple,bbq-Gag!
