The Jackass in the Tiny-Penis Truck.
On the way home from work tonight, I got into the right-hand side of a very long two-lane left-hand turn lane. (Got that?) No one was ahead of me. The green arrow was green and I wanted to make it so I didn't slow down much. The traffic going through the intersection was stopped at the red light.

As I'm headed for the green arrow, a guy in one of those gigantor US-made pick-up trucks -- Ford, I think this one was -- decided he wanted to turn left instead of go straight, so he started pulling into the turn lane right in front of me. I was far enough back, didn't have to swerve, but I did have to move over, and I honked & flashed my brights. He kept coming! So I moved over more to get out of his way -- I wasn't even near his bumper yet -- and honked again. He honked at ME and jerked the wheel to the left to try to hit me! I honked again, got safely past him, and turned left at the arrow. Now he's behind me.

The fool turns his brights on in my rear-view. And tailgaited me. We got to the next red light, and he pulled as close as he could behind me without hitting me -- and actually pulled a little to the left to be sure his left hi-beam was right in my side mirror. I had already twisted my rear-view so his lights couldn't bother me. I have manual side mirrors so I rolled the window down and very deliberately & slowly reached my arm all the way out, then brought it back in and adjusted the mirror so his light wasn't blinding me. Then I waved behind me. I could hear him screaming at me but couldn't make out what he said.

The NANOSECOND the light turned green, he leaned on his horn. I just went through the light as I naturally would. I'd gotten out my pen to write down his tag no. when I had a chance. I never got the chance, though. He turned into a driveway as soon as we cleared the intersection. The driveway of the liquor store. :eyes:

I've been :tinfoilhat:ting about my bumper sticker since I put it on last week, and especially after the fabulous goings-on in San Francisco. I was praying this guy wasn't armed. Turns out I was only impeding his preordained entitlement to get smashed.

1. oooooo
It's because you are gay.... Didn't get that until the end.

What an asshole.

My friend's dad deals with road rage by screaming "I LOVE YOU!!!!" at anyone who swears at him. Try it. :yourock:

2. I'm so glad you didn't get hurt!
That road rage stuff can be so frightening! A couple weeks ago something similar happened to me. When I honked at the idiot, she through a coke bottle out her window at my car -- and flipped me the bird. Then she careened down the road, passing in a no passing zone and then running a red light. I called 911 and reported her. I pulled off the road until a cop came to take a statement -- which is wise because I was shaking so badly.

The cop had already ran her plates and the state troopers were trying to locate her on the freeway to give her a warning. The cop was actually cool and helped me calm down.

Damn idiots!

At least we're safe, eh? I wonder if my "DefeatW" plate enraged her? Kind of sounds like a freeper response.

8. I mostly just get dirty looks from freepers.
Besides the horns, tailgaiting & one bird I've gotten in the last week, mostly it's just dirty looks. First rager I've had out here. I'd've been scared if he hadn't turned off into the driveway.

3. You see alot of that type down here in San Diego.
I know guys that drive those compensationmobiles and most of them are self-centered, racist, homophobic assholes. I flip those dickheads off and let them follow me home or into the driveway of a police or sheriffs station. You'd be surprised that most of that type of shithead back down and run when you stand up to them.

7. I'd skip my driveway and go to the state troopers' barracks on 301.
Lots and lots and lots of NRA-ers out here. I've heard MD isn't really a gun-friendly state, but one wouldn't know it for all the gun racks & NRA stickers -- and we're within earshot of a shooting range. I'm willing to stand up to anyone if I know he's not armed, but if he is -- he wins. Hands down. I don't give a fuck about appearing cowardly.

LOL "compensationmobiles."

13. Maryland is pretty backward once you get out of
Montgomery, Baltimore or PG counties.

Lots of people do not know this, but the Maryland state assembly in 1861 was going to vote for joining the Confederacy, and would have, except Abe suspended the writ of Habeus Corpus and had them all arrested in the middle of the night before the vote.

Would have been a slightly different war with DC surrounded, no?

24. yeah, just slightly different
I didn't know that. Still don't know much about my adopted state. I'm gonna have to find a good history book about the Old Line State. I already know about their fabulous song, "Maryland My Maryland" -- ah, those were the good old days, with the servants out in the tobacco. . .

No, PG's not backwards -- just scary.

56. that's cause you're down in southern md
lots more "country" folk down that way, as well as in Western Md and Carroll County....hell, if it wasn't for Bawlmer, Montgomery County and Northern PG County, we'd be living in a red state.

FYI...when confronted by Freepers, go postal. They scare easily, even if you're an unarmed 4'11" female...especially if you can spray spit when you're yelling.

4. Got into an altercation with a hummer today
trying to cross the street, Hummer is the first vehicle stopped. I give him a disdainful look but refrained from my normal flipping off. The guy gassed and braked 3 inches from me. So I pounded on his hood and left a nice dent on his Penis-projector

5. You should've got his plates and had him arrested for assault
you don't have to be physically harmed for an assault charge. If you were afraid in any way that's all it takes.

most people don't realize that and it's harder to prove, but dickwads like that need to be put in there place.

glad you're ok.

10. Didn't have the chance -- it was dark,
and I'm sure he did the brights partly so I couldn't see his front plate in the rear-view, and he never passed me. But you know I'll be wary of large white new US-made trucks around here for a while.

19. Its hard to know if you have it zeroed in on them when you try to aim
a mirror with an idiots' lights in it back on him. So just flash it all around behind you, totally distracting and annoying him.

Another tactic for tailgaters is to start running your windshield washer, it all sprays back---empty the entire reservoir on him. Of course since he thinks his truck is a penis you might be encouraging other wishful thinking on his part.

ill do it in front of semis if they deserve it im sure i wont get killed. they end up with following too close and the blame for the accident. which also includes your repair costs... i havent gotten in any accidents yet... thankfully i dont have to do it that much around where i live, people are pretty laid back drivers. although if i had a democratic bumper sticker it would probably be different... cause im in most possibly the most conservative state there is (south dakota) so im too afraid to put any sort of liberal sticker on my car.

30. i KNOW they cant stop like a car...
its simple physics...

just that, when somone whos road ragin' pisses me off, i like to mess with em a bit. brakechecking isnt necessacarily comeing to a complete stop... its just standing on your brake for 1-3 seconds depending on how much your willing to push it. its ment to scare people into backing off, nothing more, im not promoting intentional car wrecks by any means. i may drive a small car but im not going to let myself be pushed around on the roads by anyone, period.

are the calm ones on the road... its the soccer mom in the suv im more worried about freaking out and tailgating me... most truckers i see/meet dont care less about people who cut them off, weave in and out of traffic, ect... its the soccer mom or dad on the cell phone driving the suburban or durango or whatever that freak me out... some of them are just plain psycho.

It's the cell phone wackos who are the most dangerous. Though I've seen alot of the luxury car drivers like that too. You're right about the SUV and soccer moms.

Alot of the times we are the calmest ones. I think that's alot of the reason why we have the lowest life expectancy of any occupation.

Sweetie, Mrs. V. and I have discussed emigrating many times, but we are both so terribly afflicted, both physically and emotionally, by darkness and cold weather that I don't think we'd do well so far north.

But it's nice to know there's a haven if it gets unbearable for us.
