1. June SAT...
Edited on Sat May-31-08 08:14 PM by dubeskin
I decided not to take it. I figure with my 3 other scores, those should be good enough, especially with the scores I got on the SAT II's. Now my trouble is just trying to decide on a college I want to go to.

If you head over to GD: P, you might think that the world was going to end tomorrow.

4. this is my first time taking the SAT
i took the ACT already, and was going to use that when i apply to colleges, but a recruiter from a university that i'll probably be applying to suggested that i take the SAT too and use that when applying to their school.

if i'm anything like my mom(and it seems i am ;) ) i'll do better with the SAT than on the ACT. the act was stressful to me because it was like you were expected to finish every single question - which would be fine if it weren't for the math section(i hate math with a passion).

11. I'm probably just going to skip the ACT
From what I've heard, it isn't as heavy in a college's decision as the SAT. Granted, there's a good chance I could score extremely high on the ACT, however, it just seems like the money would be better spent traveling to a college and touring the campus.

Sophomore, Junior, or Senior? I'm going into Senior year come August, and by now I've tried to complete all my testing. Next year is going to be kind of stressful because I won't really know where I want to go to college, so I can spend the studying time on the college search...except I also have 5 AP classes to deal with :eyes:

13. i'm in the south, and a lot of colleges around here are big on the ACT
they don't even have an SAT testing center in my town, just an ACT one. i'm having to go to a neighboring city for the SAT.

i'll be going into my senior year too - though if i hadn't waited to take my SAT i could've gone to college a year early (i homeschool and study at a college level)... i just didn't do what was needed for me to be able to go early though. i guess i just didn't want to go to college a year younger than everyone else there. now i'm wishing i had, lol.

17. I swear to god I had no idea it would come to this

You are Professor Severus Snape from the movie 'Harry Potter'. You're very bitter, very smart, and your past has been one long nightmare. You teach Potions at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Although you can act like a bitch sometimes, you've had a rough life, so its somewhat excusable. In the Harry Potter books, you are described as 'greasy-haired and hook-nosed'. yeah, right. Your hair is fucking gorgeous. and so are you. cheer up.

3. I think you will do fine on it
and the more you study, the more you'll worry about it.

You've learned everything that will be asked on it probably in your studies, so relax a little on a Saturday night!

in the long run, you'll do better :D

9. thanks, i plan on it
i've been told by several who have taken both tests that the math section of the SAT is easier to get a good score on than the ACT... even if that isn't true it is a little bit calming

8. Relax and take it easy
You're an incredibly talented woman who is wise beyond your years.
You already have more accumulated knowledge than many grads I've dealt with.

Read up on the math if you want, but seriously , you'll do great.

The SAT is not an exam in the literal sense, it's a reflection of what you are supposed to have absorbed in high school. No amount of cramming can help despite what the test industry tells you
:hi:

i got a 27 on the ACT and cried about it... that totally pissed off some of my friends who got lower scores, but it really was that disappointing to me. i may take the ACT again(i've only taken it that one time) depending on my SAT score.

It's not hard at all. It's just really, really, long. Bring coffee, because if you get there at 7 a.m., you'll be there until 1 in the afternoon.
