Finally some good news from the Universities |
|
Having been waitlisted at NYU, Northwestern, and BC, I finally got some good news from Boston University and was accepted for transfer admissions. I'm so excited, I was at a well known Liberal Arts School, but I just had to get out of this sea of urban decay and into a major city. I can't wait, living in Boston, and studying at an extremely well ranked and highly regarded economics department. It'll be the perfect launching pad to eventually get my PHD. I can complete my double major in economics and mathematics (which is a must if you want to go on to econ grad school these days) and then apply directly to their Masters program. The school is a targeted for recruitment for some serious high end internships so hopefully I can intern during summers in a quantitative analyst position at a major investment bank and really build up that skill set so I'm a knock out PHD candidate. God damn I'm so excited, such a nice change of scenery with so many opportunities now available.
I doubt I'll hear any good news from the other schools in regard to the waitlist which are better, but only marginally so for what I want to study.
