masters of none. That's me.

I'm not an expert at anything, but I know a bunch about most everything and can carry on conversations intelligently about a lot:

Marriage (33 years to the same woman)
Parenting (2 very smart adult children)
Sailing
Cycling
Cars
Farming
Equine Science, including horse racing and wagering
Carpentry (I built a 900 sq ft. addition too our house, and a garage)
Aviation
Car racing
Music, (guitar hack for 40 years)
Movies (I read tons of reviews and scholarly texts on movies, but haven't been to a theater in 18 yrs)
Books, (esp early 20th century fiction)
And more!!

Unfortunately, this gets me absolutely nothing. Good enough in enough things to get myself in constant problems that require others to solve. Shit.

2. Organizing.
I swear it's a skill.
And making stained glass arts.

Also, I can recognize songs by hearing just 1 or 2 seconds, I'll pull the titles and artists out of nowhere, but only if it's a song I have already :headbang:

but only if it's 80's music.

I guess that's more a curse than anything...

7. well, i guess i , too, know a thing about
marriage(22 years) and parenting(3 great teenagers) and now I am grammy to the worlds cutest smartest baby! I have recovered every square foot of flooring in my house and I am an expert at knowing if something is going to fit or work "organization" wise. I know a lot of music and a lot of books. I love science and history. And, as they used to say...that and a dollar will get you a cup of coffee!
I have spent my life doing "menial" work, working with animals, kids and cleaning. i enjoyed it, but now my body is saying I need an easier job, but it's hard to do that with my work history (dammit, i went to college to learn about stuff, i didn't take classes that would help me get a real job!).
Now I see job listings that are offered to really young people, but they imply that you should have "office experience". I've never really worked in an office (well, a vets office), but i figure i have probably spent more time in offices than someone 20 years younger than me.
I wish i could get more credit for life experiences.
