So, turns out that walking into the Boy's Bathroom Wednesday night
WASN'T the highlight of my week.

Oh, sure. It was a totally boneheaded move, but Friday my disposal, washing machine and dishwasher all went down in a blaze of glory. I had to go back to Lowe's THREE frickin' times Friday to purchase a new one of each.

Mr. put in the washer and the disposal, they will deliver and install the dishwasher tomorrow.

Paycheck? I got paid Friday? Series? :puke:

2. my stove died yesterday and i have the stomach flu but i'm still happy the
stove needs to be replaced. Waiting on the fridge now, if it doesn't die on it's own i may give a an assist.

Also i thought i knew what i wanted and now after researching stoves on the internet i have no idea anymore.

4. Here's the kicker.
Dishwasher is exactly one year old. It was replaced last May because it died, for the first time, in Dec. of 2006, one year after it was purchased. :grr:

Washer is a Maytag Neptune, biggest POS I have ever seen. Has never worked well and spins so violently it is knocking nails out of studs.

No more upper echelon appliances for me. I'm buying one step up from builder grade for the rest of my life.

5. my stove is builders grade crap so the fact it's lasted 8 years is pretty impressive.
i bought a Bosch dishwasher about 3 years and it works really well and it's super quiet, i didn't get the uber expensive one either so if you have to spend between $500-$600 you may want to look at the Bosch.

6. I was going to get the Bosch, but I got a Whirlpool that was on sale
for $400. The guy at Lowe's recommended either the Whirlpool or the Bosch, but after dropping $600 on the washer and another $200 on the disposal, I was pretty tapped out.

Of course it happens two weeks before I'm going to have a houseful of people due to TM's graduation. :grr:

that's always when stuff breaks isn't it? I have until June 26th to get my stove, that's when my sister and her kids come out and i really will have to have it by then, also the grill i bought a month ago still isn't in so right now i have a microwave and a toaster oven that works.

3. Funny cuz it was Lowes where I had my worst wrong-bathroom gaffe
"Weird that there are no urinals in here. Guess it's because they chose to make their bathroom on huge tile showroom?".

:dry hands and walks out: "Why did that lady look at me so weird?" "oh shit, that's why".

10. We just got a new washer
A frigidaire front-loader. Never again will we own a regular washing machine.

We stood down in the basement for half an hour watching that first load. After the THIRTY-FIVE YEAR OLD washer/dryer combo we had, it feels sooo good to have working appliances, that also can handle a full load of clothes.

As opposed to the kind that requires the detailed attention of professional firefighters.
