I've seen the cops haul him out of his house before. Every day, a couple cars pull up and he comes out with something in his hand and an exchange is made. The cop was definitely watching their house, and could easily hide from the line of sight of anyone coming home (he wasn't, and I suspect the cop was waiting for him).
