Techie question--- Why is this happening?
When I click on a link in DU, I get a message box saying that Explorer has stopped working, and then it disconnects me from DU.

This just started a couple of days ago and is annoying as hell.

Does anyone know how to "fix it"? Thank you! :hi:

1. My fix would be to use a browser that wasn't brought to you by Microsoft.
:P

2. Well, thanks anyhow.
This just started a few days ago. I noticed it even disconnected me when I clicked on spell check. I'm ready to pull my hair out.

4. I'm actually being serious.
I started using Firefox a while back and never looked back.

5. We had Firefox for awhile.
I can't remember now, but we had problems with it and disconnected it.

Thank you for replying.

3. Click on "FIle" at the top and check to make sure that "Work Offline" is not checked.
If it is that could very well be the problem. IE takes the "Work offline" check seriously!

6. I don't think that is it...
or I wouldn't be reading and replying to you now.

But thank you anyhow.

7. my techie question would be why are all the videos I play so choppy
what do I have to change about buffering....or software to download....or do I have a RAM issue.
Every video is awful to watch...they're so herky/jerky.

8. When you say you click on a link, do you mean a thread or an outside link?
I had a problem with my old computer where certain threads would crash IE - I think it was because someone (or more than one) had an animation in a sig that my old IE version couldn't handle. You may want to ty upgrading to a newer browser...
