I had a GREAT day!
The little one let me SLEEP IN! That never happens.

When I woke up my wife had made CARDAMOM COFFEE CAKE!! :9

It was a glorious sunny day for the Old Port Festival, so we all went down and I held the little one on my shoulders so he could see the PUPPET PARADE!! And we listened to live jazz and acoustic childrens songs by the ocean while eating FRIED DOUGH!

Then, when the little guy went down for a nap, I left (with the Mrs at home with the little one of course) to go vacuum the car, and the vacuum machine ate my quarter. I didn't put any more quarters in but examined it. I noticed as I put it in, tons of quarters from previous customers were also stuck. I though 'what a rip-off' and punched the machine, and IT MAGICALLY TURNED ON! *Every single time* I hit it it MAGICALLY TURNED ON as all the stuck quarters jostled the mechanism. For ONE QUARTER I got 30 MINUTES of vacuum time! And I got to punch a machine to get the free time! Double bonus!
My car is spotless!

And for dinner? PORK CHOPS IN ONIONS AND APPLES and COLLARD GREENS! :9

What a perfect day!

I hope you all had days as good as mine!

1. Mine wasn't bad
It was too nice to be indoors, so I walked around town a bit. Then had some dinner. Then I rode my bike around the residential area and out to the water for an hour. Then I walked around for another hour and a half. And I might even go back out again later. We'll see.

It's just too nice to be indoors, dammit

4. Oh that's right
I also took a harbor tour on the Merrimack river, totally spontaneous. I'd been on it before and didn't learn anything new, but just wanted to be on the water.

3. I had a pretty good day myself.
I got to bed early last night and woke up feeling relaxed and refreshed. I just sort of dorked around the house and the yard. Made a FABULOUS breakfast! Had a massage. Then had dinner with a friend. This is the first day I've felt almost normal since I got laid off, so I'm just kind of enjoying that.:D

6. Indeed it is!
Back when I was gainfully employed I joined a monthly massage deal and they built up -- I was too busy with work to get one every month -- now that I am out of work I have time and these free massages built up -- also I have to use them all before I cancel my membership or I will lose them! So I guess that's a 'perk' of being laid off, haha!
