Joel or Mike?

I admit that I'm partial to Mike. Something about Joel always seemed so sleepy and disconnected that I just couldn't overlook it. It was as though he wanted us to believe that he wasn't really trapped as described in the opening montage.

What say you?

6. It came up in a roundabout way

When I hear Johnny Mathis on the radio, I can only think of two things:

The X-Files episode Home

and

a Mike-hosted movie involving a fish-monster with a mouthful of hot dogs. At one point a gang of hoodlums (hoodla?) is threatening some fellow on the beach, and Mike notes that the gang-leader looks like Johnny Mathis. Mike sings:
"Chances are, I'm gonna kick your scrawny ass."

Well, I heard Mathis' Chances Are on the radio tonight, so there you have it.
