Anyone else think they'll never trust anyone?
I didn't really even know what it was till I was in my mid 20's. I'd never experienced it. I got a taste, though... and liked it enough to hope for it again. I thought I'd found it again... but I think I lost it.

I'm so sad right now. Can't even describe it...

2. you mean, as in a partner?

yeah, I have a hard time believing I'd let anyone in again. It's been nearly 9 years since I saw anyone seriously.

I'm terrible at picking men. I've now come to believe that if I'm interested in them at all, there's something wrong with them.

5. I'm sorry, redqueen.
I have trust issues myself, but my husband is so wonderful, it's impossible NOT to trust him. The ones before him...not so much.

You'll be happy again. I just know it.

6. While it's nearly impossible not to let it change your view
You can't let a bad person's betrayal keep you from trusting others.

8. I trusted someone
for over 30 years, trusted them with my whole being.

Then the trust got ripped away and I promised my self that I would NEVER be able to trust some one fully again.....
my guard will always be up...

and it sucks

I think you will trust again.
Not everyone will let you down,Some will
But then there are the exceptions. They are out there.
I hope you find a friend or lover that you can trust.

13. There are VERY FEW people I get to the point where I feel I can trust them.
And usually it's once I know them well enough to know exactly what I can trust 'em with.

14. Yeah, I have a hard time fully trusting anyone, even people I've been close to for years.
I think it has to do with a base-level cynicism, even misanthropy, on my part.

15. here comes my advice
do not allow anyone, not that other person, ever... dictate how you feel about YOURSELF.

It is always hard and painful to have the rug pulled out from under you. But never make it about you.

You do know redqueen, that I think you are smart and special... :pals:
