15. Toby Keith "Courtesy of the red, white and blue"
but darn it, I like Toby Keith, even that song rocks, though I'm not into it's message.

but the song that got me to buy the CD was "Beer for my horses" (a duet with Willie Nelson). Willie said that when Toby Keith asked him to do the song with him, after hearing the song's title, he immediately agreed to do it, knowing nothing else. so there you go.

Geddy Lee appeared to him in a vision, and spoke, saying, "Beware the green key and the golden door. Their combining shall be your undoing." And CreekDog asked what he meant by that. And then Geddy responding by giving him a wedgie. Their relations have been strained ever since...

I gave both RATM and C. Cornell a chance.....I got 4 RATM cds, just to make sure I was giving them a fair shake, and honestly...I don't care for the band in the least, from the vocals, to Morello...just not my slice of cake.

My wife just loves Cornell though...she plays Audioslave/SoundGarden to annoy me....but I get her back though, she hates Keith Caputo and I play Life of Agony a lot....:D

I saw Whitesnake once (more than enough) and the show was so lame all I could do to keep myself awake was count the number of times that Coverdale grabbed his crotch or mentioned his penile area. Ridiculous. 145. For some people that is an entire lifetime of crotch grabbing but for Coverdale it was all in a days work.

76. Chris Daughtry....oh, excuse me, just "Daughtry".
Come on Chris, you got famous from the same show that gave us Clay Aiken. Stop trying to pretend you are a serious rock artist, because your songs aren't being played anywhere except the Top 40 stations right after Avril Lavigne. I'm glad Taylor Hicks kicked your ass two ways to Sunday!

77. And while I'm at it.....JUSTIN FREAKIN' TIMBERLAKE.
He forgot that people think of Michael Jackson just as a sick pervert these days, not as any sort of role model.

81. Jim Morrison.
Now if he'd been a lounge singer instead....spectacular!

94. Yeah, I always thought he wanted to be Sinatra or somebody.
In the context of the Doors' music, I think his voice worked, and ironically it sounded best when he was basically dying (see the song "L.A. Woman" for an example). But I can understand his detractors.

96. Yeah, now that I take a longer look at it...
...he wasn't all that annoying. I just couldn't get "Lover Her Madly" out of my head this morning, so I was lashing out...lol.

In the context of that one song, I find him very annoying.

97. Yeah, you can just hear the alcohol and coke in his voice on that one.
Not one of my favorite Doors tracks by any means, and the fact that it's one of the most frequently played on the radio annoys the shit out of me.

82. Elvis Costello
I really like HIM - but I can't stand to listen to him. I've seen him interviewed and he's smart and funny. I like the songs he writes - just something about his voice drives me batty.

I wish I could adapt, because I'd love to be a real fan.

85. He has got a very funny singing style.
I loves it... but I can see how it might be grating for others.

88. James Blunt is a fine choice
Might be others worse, but I'm not in a mood to go through them.

93. I'll probably get my baby boomer credentials revoked, but I'd rather
hear ANYONE but Bob Dylan sing his compositions.

95. Well, I almost prefer the Byrds' versions of some of his songs (e.g. "My Back Pages"),
but overall I'll take Dylan and his "weird" voice any day. Same with Leonard Cohen.
