I have no less than 300 lighters in my home.
200 of them have no lighter fluid in them.

50 of them have gone to their special "lighter hiding spot".

50 of them are downstairs buried in some goddamn drawer.

Thank God for kitchen matches.

2. And if each of them is wrapped in a single...
...unpaired sock, that little mystery would be cleared up too.

8. Thanks for the link Benny....
I'm doing ok, thanks for asking....

Been a tough week...but doing ok.

For some reason, today I was thinking about ....

Grateful dead...Rochester War Memorial...1980...the jam into a SLOWWWW Iko....on the Jerry side...this sultry thing was one of the most intense pieces of music I have ever heard live.

If you look it up on the archives, it might be the tail end of the piece before Iko.... :hi:

It was in the fall...1980.

4. I get a free lighter for every carton of smokes.
And since I hate to run errands, I buy 10 cartons at a time. It probably takes one lighter to get through the whole 10 cartons.

I can't possibly use them all, so I often give them away.

:hi:

9. Lil Missy....
I just read in the paper tonight that cigarettes in New York State are going up tomorrow by $1.25 a pack.

Ok, so we have gas at over $4.00, and now this.

Everything is slowly being taken away from us.

People will not be able to afford cigarettes. That means they will go bug fuck crazy and start killing each other. I can picture it now....some guy gets looked at sideways in a bar, and he murders the guy who looked at him...because he couldn't afford cigarettes, and he had no money to drive home.

Fuck it...I'm going to sit on my roof with a shotgun. I will shoot any son of a bitch who tries to steal my cigarettes.

Hi Lil Missy :hi:

13. They did the same thing in Iowa last year. Put an additional $10 tax on every carton.
Needless to say, those who live on the border come to Omaha to buy their smokes; business is booming here in Omaha.

And you can pry my smokes outta my cold dead hands.

23. Yes, I know what you mean.
I tried Chantix for about 3 weeks to quit smoking.

The first week you take one a day, then go up to two a day. I puked about 20 minutes every time after I took it by then, and was constantly so nauseous I lost 10 pounds that month.

And it also causes VIVID dreams! In technicolor! Bout' wore my ass out!

17. I had a cat that would steal plastic forks and spoons.
Just plastic ones and hide them.

No plastic fork or spoon was safe, the damn cat would steal them right off the table.

18. One of my cats steals straws out of drinks.
I can't explain it, and I am always coming across chewed-up straws under the furniture. Silly cats.

20. I am sure the cats have good reasons for doing this.
Maybe they think they are hunting or just have a sense of humor.

Or they just like to drive us crazy.
