I was going to visit my son on Sunday.
Saturday evening the vehicle broke.
We usually leave Tucson around 6 am for an 8 to 11 visit.
Since Tuesday, June 3 is his birthday, the disappointment was multiplied.
Meanwhile, Sunday morning, an individual ran into traffic near our intended exit
in Phoenix.
Four or five cars struck him.
The interstate was closed so long, we would have not made it on time for visitation anyway.

I am so sorry you couldn't visit your son, esp. so near his birthday...
It's hard to deal with those situations, isn't it?
I hope you can see him another time, very soon!
