Help me think of a good name for this cat:
Edited on Tue Jun-03-08 10:14 AM by LucyParsons
My colleague found it and is paying for it to have some surgery it needs, then taking it home. So she wants a name that has to do with resurrection, like Phoenix (but she doesn't like that). Not Jesus, either, please. Or Lazarus.

The cat is male.

Can anybody think of any more mythological resurrection-themed names?

1. Maggie--if it's a female
Edited on Tue Jun-03-08 10:07 AM by StopThePendulum
Named after St. Mary Magdelene

If it's a male, try calling him Pete (for St. Peter).

3. Is it male or female?
That might help in selecting a name.
The kitty looks like a real love. I wish you, your friend and, of course, the kitty all the best.

24. Hey, watch your language. There could be kids in here!
I wouldn't want my kids finding out about Joel Schumacher's 'movies' from some random guy on the internet!

I hope everything turns out well. I'm so happy that he found a home.

I use this site to find names for my Sims (yes, I am a sad little nerd.)

http://www.behindthename.com/

I got the male form of Anastasia for resurrection - I tried searching for "return" and got a list of four Yoruba (a group in Nigeria) names. I like Olabode the best. Eww though - it means "wealth returns".

What about Ayotunde? It means that joy has returned. :)

13. "Fifi" - but spelled Phoe-phxi !
Like phoenix. You can call her "Fifi," and she'll never know it has a weird dorky spelling because ... she can't read! :P

14. "Gadsonia", "Pimeria", "Montezuma", "Arizuma"
Just googled "other names for Phoenix" since Phoenix doesn't sound like a cat's name!

Hey... how about "Zuma"? :hi:

20. those are great names
Zuma would be great if she zoomed around at the speed of light.
Also in honor of Montezuma, you could also called her "Monty." The name would be really great if she gave the full Monty everytime she licked herself clean.
