It has more meanings than a misspelling of "the". It started as a joke but actually has linguistic precedents. Lots of languages have something similar, but English doesn't, so it got invented (ain't we clever!)
Check out wikipedia on "teh" - you may be surprised and may change your mind. It's not just being silly, it's a useful word.
Khash.

"there's plenty of 'tards out there living really kick ass lives"
plus when people spell "kitteh" and "dinnah" is really irritating too.
way too cutesy for me.

The kitteh thing drives me more crazy though.
Trendy has never been something I thought should apply to spelling and grammar type issues. It makes people look like juveniles.

32. that and 'HUGH' for huge |
|
and 'MORAN' for moron. and all the other freeper spellings that supposedly rational people have started using as their own.
A couple times to mock the ones who don't know any better is one thing, emulating the idiots at all times is just stupid. No, what it does is that it shows they're right...that our people DON'T have minds of our own and just go along with the 'herd'.

Even if it's used purposefully and meant to be ironic, taking another step toward "stupid" (even a tiny one) as a culture isn't exactly something to celebrate.
