May I Please have a hug?
It's official I have an ovarian cyst on my left side, 2x3 centimeters. It hurts like hell. I am going to have to take birth control pills. The gyn says it will slow down my ovary and hopefully it will go away. I don't understand that.

Thanks.

5. I'm more of a comedy and musical girl
Chaplin's City Lights and Modern Times, Singin' in the Rain, Marx Bros. Duck Soup. But I do like Cagney's Angels with Dirty Faces, and just about anything Barbara Stanwyck did. I'm also the one "on the Dragon Wagon" although they done took my Dragon away during DefCon 2. :hi:

7. Singin' in the Rain is hilarious.
I love the "Make Them Laugh" bit with the dummy.

Do you like Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers? My favorite is "Follow the Fleet" when Fred is a sailor because my grandfather was a SeaBee during WWII. We joke about him as Fred and grandma as Ginger.

14. Love Fred and Ginger!
They were so elegant, danced our troubles away during the last Depression. My mother was especially a fan of Ginger Rogers (Mom was a Depression kid, went to all the movies)

22. Sometimes foxes can kind of silver. That's their winter coat.
When I was little, there used to be a fox that was really friendly. My mother fed him hot dogs in broad daylight. He pratically took them from her hand. But that was a while ago.

26. yes it is, but you make the best of it...
I really wanted to have another child...I only got to have one...

but now as a teacher, I can claim 156 children one being my own.

Just know your own body and study up on it.

My doctor thought he knew my body better than me and I ended up changing doctors and when they finally did the hysterectomy...they commented that it should have been done the year before!!! YA THINK was all I said!!!

other than the 15 lbs the hormone pills caused, I am fine...

and I stopped taking the HR pills and felt better after that!!!

24. good luck
You'll be fine though. My girlfriend has ovarian cysts, and I guess it sucks, but used to be a lot worse than it is now. She's been on and off different pills, and they really do help shrink the cysts (I'm no doctor, so I also don't understand why), and make life a lot less painful. She doesn't like the hormonal effects of the pills, but says it's better than having painful cysts. If it's only one and the docs think it could just go away, you're in good shape.

25. WannaBe went through this not too long ago.
A very big hug and also... please keep an eye on it. If you are still hurting, even with the BC, please take temps and see the doctor as often as you need to. I almost lost my little girl to an infection caused by PCOD. Feel better soon.

From what I've seen it can be very painful

The bc pills may help - they change your hormonal balance. It might work. Better to try it first than surgery.

Khash.
