Dogs and mushrooms growing in my lawn
My lawn has suddenly sprung a large crop of wild mushrooms. Anybody know if this poses a danger to my dog? Will the dog eat them if I let him spend time out there?

1. I have toadstools, and an interested beagle. I assume they're dangerous.
I don't know for sure, but I err on the side of "they're bad for people, they're prob'ly bad for dogs". So, for now, I'm not leaving the beagle out alone, and even when I'm with her, I've got her on a chain shortened so she can't reach 'em (in our fenced yard). I don't usually chain her, but I'm willing to do
what it takes to keep her away from the toadstools.

We had 'em last year, too. And I did the same thing.

8. Growing dogs would be fun.
I have had dogs all my life and I never had a dog suffer from wild mushrooms.

Just take you lawnmower and cut them up, that is what I do.
