Not so great news from the hematologist.. |
|
I went yesterday. Blood counts are lower but still not great..Platelets are 1284 which is better than 1620 but no one will be happy till they are less than 1000. White blood cells still elevated but slightly better than last time. I emailed the Mayo doc and he thinks we might have to up the dosage..*sigh* we just lowered it to avoid the side effects. But I think that taking ibuprofen for the pain will help manage that. But right now it seems a catch22. BTW, props to the Mayo doc who responds to my emails within 30 minutes usally. Better than a lot of friends are...:)

Did your insurance company finally give approval on your new meds? You may have posted about it, but I miss a lot of days around here.
