I had to leave Smirking Chimp because all the hate and prejudice towards young people, women, and people from the South eventually got to me - being a young Southern woman.

It's not so bad on DU, though - yeah, the prejudice is there but people generally get called out on it. I think the classism gets to me the most on here.

but I think it was in GD and in recent months. I mentioned how living through my previous' wife's PMS episodes left me very hurt emotionally, too, and I was called a mysogynist. Trying to play down any sympathy those people in New Orleans should have while they were busy drowning.

I did some Darfur posting for a few weeks. I tried to read up on the junjadaweed but it was too awful and made me depressed and I dropped my participate after a few weeks.

I've avoided the GD:P for the last few months because of how cantankerous it was. I don't like my posse (the DU) fighting amongst itself like that.
