Idiocracy is on right now

Anyone seen this before? I have been watching it for about an hour and have mixed feelings about it.

1. It's a great premise, but the movie sort of disappoints

Starts off with a bang and ends with a whimper.

4. Some of the satirical notions sound plausible- like the huge corporation

taking over the Department of Agriculture (I think thats what it was) and re-defining the canonical four food groups. That, and plain (unflavored) water being relegated to toilet use only.

20. I think it's one of the dumbest and most juvenile movies in a while

which is why I also find it brilliant and funny. Almost perfectly so in that it is what it's about.
