She just looks so wild, free and beautiful.

Mom used to say, "You can't put a 50-year-old head on a 20-year-old body." I think she was just really tired of me and my escapades with my first boyfriend when I was ages 15 - 17. Mom got married to Dad at 18 and never finished college. She had me the next year, at 19. She could have finished school and become a journalist. Instead, she slaved away in my father's law office for most of her life, then worked for a small company where she got propositioned by at least one male employee.

I wish I knew then what I know now.
