Around here, they've been out for at least a week and don't start again until like Mid-August

13. Here too...
I only know because I have a scheduled date with a teacher who I can't meet until her school year is over on the 18th.

One of my friends homeschools her son (her daughter is in HS and decided she wanted to go to the local high school).

10. Yeah, it's nice.
We get to work around his interests, at times that work for him, on a schedule that works for us. And no silly tests.

He's way ahead in most things- years ahead in reading and the sciences- but his handwriting is just comically bad, and since we get to work with him at his level, that's totally fine. I think in school he'd have a really hard time because he absolutely hates loud noises and crowds.

5. Three more days :/
I have mixed blessings...

I love spending time with my son... but I sleep when he's supposed to be at school. No school -> no sleep. I think I got a plan though. He might well be dispatched to his pawpaw's instead of going to school.

Mark.

9. Our high school's final day
here in Highland Park was May 30.

The only other district I know of was Plano, TX who had their last day June 4 and their graduation is on June 10.

WannaB's school, I think, let out last week.

She got out early because of graduation.

BabyG goes back the day after Labor Day.

14. I'm pretty sure our public schools have another week or so
but, I'm not sure - our daughter is in a full-day kindergarten program that officially ends on June 19. I assume most of the local public schools end around that same time.

15. Here in SE Pennsylvania, I think most of the public schools finish this week.
However, I teach at a private school, and our last day was this past Friday. I suspect most of the private schools are the same.

Some schools in the Philadelphia area didn't open today, or are dismissing early because of the heat.

21. In most parts of NJ, school ends this week.
But there are other districts who run classes until the 3rd week in June (to make up for snow days).
