Can anyone else flex their temple muscles and hear "thunder" in their inner ears? |
My boyfriend thinks I'm crazy.

3. I can just sort of flex my temple muscles, eyes opened or closed, and hear it |
Sometimes I do it on accident. I'd never even thought about this possibly being weird until like two weeks ago. It practically blots out any outside noise.

4. Only if I breathe out through my nose as well |
Either way, the flexing thing is a useful technique when you fly. Equalizes the inner-ear pressure.

5. Yes...I think it's a thunder sound as well |
I always assumed it was just the sound of all the muscle fiber contracting that close to your skull/ears.

10. Not thunder, but the ambient sound in my ear takes a higher pitch when I "grip" with my jaw muscle |
