Oaf Of Office posted a thread in GD (A Great Idea - Flowers From The Heartland) about sending flowers to gay couples standing in line in front of city hall in San Francisco, waiting to get married.

In that thread Oaf of Office said that someone else had suggested someone sending Mayor Newsom some flowers to say thank you.

So I propose that DUers donate as much as they can afford to sending Mayor Newsom flowers from everyone at DemocraticUnderground.

What we need to get this organized is someone who has a paypal account and who has a few minutes in their day to organize the flowers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1. We need someone from the area to help

The last time we sent flowers it seems we each called the same florist who kept a tab on the donation amount. Money went directly to the florist.

If someone from the Bay area can direct us to a florist willing to take our donations and deliver to the Mayor it would be a great help.

Gotta keep this kicked, the morning crew might remember how those arrangements were made.
