Those bored in 1989
No internet :(
Had to sit through commercial breaks :boring:
TV movies increasingly replaced with informercials :wtf:
All the fun TV preachers kicked off the air and into jail
Beginning of the recession, lots of free time. :dilemma:
A new president, but not yet very goofy.
Cold War ends, Berlin Wall falls, "Breaking News" reduced to babies falling down drainpipes. :hide:
Had to rewind rented movies to avoid the surcharge
HBO switches from movies to 85% boxing
Kevin Costner makes two new movies :boring:

2. Unless you were living in Baltimore....
....because you would have the famed worst-to-almost first "Why Not?" Baltimore Orioles team to follow, including Cal Ripken, Gregg Olson, Mickey Tettleton, Jeff Ballard, Bob Milacki and Craig Worthington, and would watch them until that fatal weekend series with Toronto where they couldn't hold the lead, but nonetheless showed a lot of spirit and excitemetn throughout.

7. I was a student at the University of Maryland
Studying really hard but looking forward to my monthly dose of the "Chestertown Streakers"...20-40 guys from a neighboring all male dorm that would streak around the quad to the tune of the William Tell Overture and do jumping jacks (nekkid jumping jacks!) in front of my all female dorm..:9
I think thats where my career as a pev really began...
