I was going on and on about the adorableness of one of our kitties today. She is 15.5 years old and she looks great and was playing like a little kitten. Oh my gawd, it was SO FREAKING CUTE!!! Hey all you (like me) who didn't get it: it means that the closer you get to a cat, the stupider you become and the more inane your comments become. Sheesh, I first took it to mean that stupid people who make inane comments are "cat-like" (you know, proximal to cats, evolutionarily) which of course makes no sense at all.

And the character that is furthest from the cat, who is not saying anything, how do we know he is intelligent and doesn't say inane things? Being quiet is not necessarily a sign of intellect (although it's a good trick to know)

I love that cartoonist, but I blame him this time for not being clear enough.

And NO, there are NO cats anywhere near me!
