I survived!

Today was the first day of the wetland delination outside Chico.

It was pretty chill... The weather was warm and REALLY windy. We saw two fires while we were out there, but they stayed away from where we were. I managed to avoid sunburn, for the most part. I was coughing for about the first half hour, then it subsided. The dude I'm working with seems pretty cool. I saw soil features I have never seen before, including pure silt, high organic matter, and roots growing along ped faces. The soils were also VERY high chroma.

Good times had by all. :)

Walking around mapping wetlands... only the kicker is that in California none of them are actually wet this time of year.

7. that sounds like fun, even with the cough. That humid air will

most likely be good for it though
