Today I murdered

two carpenter ants. I tortured them before I made the final blow. They wriggled and got weak from the Raid. I didn't care. They violated my space!

There are more. I will bring out the big guns soon--I just have to find a spot for the cats and me that we can escape to for four hours.

Meanwhile, I will set up some traps and stuff. Murder is fun. :rofl:

Now, the chemical in Raid that is lethal to bugs is pretty harmless to mammals, but do you really want that shit sprayed all over where you live? And are you referring to bug bombs in that four hour comment?

Christ on a crutch, it's just some bugs. Get some traps, caulk crevices where you can find 'em, use black pepper, and hire a pro if it's a real problem. A pro will use minimal chemicals if they're any good.

But I have to say this was not something I felt was particularly sensitive. I've been warring against the ants for the past 5 years, and each year, they get larger and larger. This year, they're almost 1 full inch in size.

As someone who has had a morbid fear of all insects for 90% of my life, getting close enough to kill them has been a major leap forward for me. And if I took glee in disposing of those I killed yesterday, it was likely because they represented the entire insect world to me!
