Come 'n get 'em!!!
:hi:

Help, I just picked these wonderfully sweet organic strawberries this afternoon and would love to share! We'll have this many more ripe and ready to pick tomorrow and every day for about the next two weeks... we can't possibly eat them all!

I'll leave the porch light on and the door unlocked... help yourself.

4. Easy to grow and with little maintenance

Our berry patch, dubbed 'Strawberry Hill', grows atop what was a huge tree stump. We couldn't mow over the stump or dig to plant any large bushes or plants because of the massive roots that were near the surface. So, we dumped a few wheelbarrows of dirt over it and planted 10 small strawberry plants on the crown. They have spread into an area that is approx 14'x 16' over the last 5 years. We don't do anything other than weed, mow around (to keep them contained), and pick the berries when ripe.

This fall I plan to dig up the entire patch, amend the soil with some nice homemade compost and replant about 20 of the baby plants.

5. My dear Green Meanie!
Oh, boy, those look wonderful!

How about turning them into jam?

Or freeze them?

Road-side stand, and sell them?

If I were there, I'd come over and take some!

Yummy!

6. I've just finished washing and hulling them ALL

They are now spread on cookie sheets in the freezer. Tomorrow they'll be ready to bag and go back to the freezer for later use... SMOOTHIES and sauces!

I wish I could bottle the sweet distinct scent that has permeated my kitchen and dining room and send it to you. It is quite mouthwateringly delicious!
