Topless sandals....anyone tried em? |
A couple of my youth group kids just stopped by to say hello on their way to a movie. One showed me her new "topless sandals". Just a sole with no upper, that sticks to the bottom of the foot. She says they're hughly comfortable. An interesting idea. Anyone ever tried 'em?

2. Are they just throw away afterwards? Flip flops are BAD on your feet |
http://www.topless-sandal.com/lots of problems from wearing them too much that seems like a useless waste if they are just thrown away

6. Says they last for a year. Most flip-flops don't last more than that, do they? |
Don't know why they'd be more a waste than any other cheap sandal.

10. I don't wear flip-flops myself. Can't stand the thing between the toes. |
My Okabashis are guaranteed for two years, and I've got one pair that's prob'ly 4 years old. And not made in China. So, I'll stick with the Okabashis. But I found this idea interesting.

I never heard of such a thing. I'm glad I saw them here first or I never would have believed it seeing them in "real life". That would really help get rid of my birkenstock tan line!

14. I dunno. The concept is kinda cool and will certainly be very trendy, but |
...I do agree with the unnecessary landfill argument. I would also be concerned about whatever adhesive stuff they use to stick it to your feet. I mean, feet are designed to sweat, and I have to wonder what nasty chemicals might be seeping into my body via my feet in those things.
