How often do you go through computer chairs?
I admit it, I'm overwieght and sit in front of my computer for 12 plus hours a day. But I'm wondering if chairs are being made to break down these days. I've bought 3 in the last year and a half.

3. Me too: Aeron chair by Herman Miller are the best...
Expensive, although I picked up at less than 1/2 its normal cost on EBAY after all the internet companies went belly up and had to liquidate. It would be worth checking.

2. I used to go through them like water...
But where I work is a dealer for Office Star chairs, and I'm more than satisfied with mine. I'm overweight and with a bad back and knee, so I tend to "fall" into it and pry myself out with the armrests. I've had it now for about 2 1/2 years, and the arm padding is starting to give out, but the cushions and the rest are just fine. I'll have to check at work, but I suspect I can order replacement arms, since they are an "option".

Office Depot (or is it Office Max?) carries their line of cheaper chairs in stock, but spring for the better ones they can order you out of the catalog. Should run you $160-$190 or so.
