Can you all send some Lounge Vibes to my aunt and uncle.
They live on a lake in Wisconsin that is in danger of doing the same thing that Lake Delton did earlier this week.

I am really scared about the situation.

I read about Lake Delton. Will it eventually fill back up or is it permanently just gone?

5. I don't know
Lake Delton was a man made lake and was only about 12 feet deep at its deepest point. I would guess that once they get the dam repaired, it will fill back up again.

I am really worried about Lake Nagawicka, it is a bigger and deeper lake and could reek havoc on the entire city of Delafield, Wisconsin and a couple of lakes down river.

6. Thank you.
They are here in California right now, visiting their grandchildren. So they are safe and away from it, but I am guessing they are worried sick about the home they have lived in for 50 years.

29. The disappearing/appearing lakes are SCARY
she's just got the garden-variety flooded basement.

I hope your aunt and uncle's house is ok. I'm glad they're safe, but it must be SO hard to be away and unable to see for themselves how things are.

Did you hear about the Boy Scout camp in Iowa? That's only about an hour from my parents, and then the storm line headed past my sister.

The entire area has been beaten severely and repeatedly by these crazy storms. :(

flooding probably kills more people, but wildfires can cause more permanent damage. :-(

Let me know if you need anything, I am literally right up the street.

The dam is in danger of breaking, but that lake is much bigger than Delton. It will cause a LOT of damage, but it won't drain like Delton.

46. UPDATE
My aunt and uncle are in California visiting their son. I have not spoken to them, and am unsure if they are keeping track of things back home.

They are safe. One of my other aunts lives in suburban Milwaukee and is checking on their place today, and will continue to check on it as long as there is danger of flooding/dam breakage.

Thank you all for your prayers, vibes and support.

This aunt is like a second mom to me.

It is not looking very good. The region got absolutely pounded today, and looks like it will get pounded tomorrow.

So far the dam has held, but there have been some homes flooded already.
