The Incredible Hulk; worst CGI ever? |
|
I swear--every preview I've seen makes it look less realistic than the Windows95 version of Doom. How much money did they spend on this thing just to get half-assed, unconvincing graphics?
:wtf:

1. You know what really irritated the poo out of me? |
|
That they run these stupid 5 minute trailers for it in the middle of Ghost Hunters. I thought BabyG was gonna blow.

7. It wasn't even a good trailer |
|
Now that I think of it, I can't tell the previews for the game from the previews for the film. That doesn't bode well.

3. that first one was freaking terrible, like a cheapo video game, this new one looks |
|
equally as bad. I just saw Ed Norton in "the Painted veil" which was a good and then he turns around and makes this drek?

4. The scene in which Hulk beat up those tanks in the desert. That was pretty darned cool. |
|
The rest? Not so much. Didn't Ang Lee direct a real movie soon after that?
Seriously. The concept of the Hulk isn't that hard to grasp, but when I need to reach back 30 years to primetime tv for a more convincing portrayal, something's wrong!

6. I'm watching bits of it on FX right now! |
|
I've never read even a frame of the comic, but I enjoyed the movie from start to finish. I love the Lovecraft-esque elements, of course, but the writing and direction are just so sharp overall that I can't keep myself from watching it.
True Fact: Ron Perlman has never worn less than 14 hours' worth of prosthetic makeup in any role he's played. Even when he seems to be a plain ol' human, that's the most sophisticated makeup of all.

I thought the show was really underrated. Corny at times, yes, but it created a sense of the magical more effectively than just about any other show on tv. Certainly any network show.

I haven't seen it in at least 15 years, and I'm sure that missed most of the series' run. But I liked what I saw.

25. Pick up one of the trade paperbacks of the comic |
|
If you loved the movie, you'll definitely love the comic - the lovecraftian stuff is 10x more intense and weird. Mike Mignola has a deep love of folklore as well, and that is strongly incorporated into the comic.

|
someone wanted it remade. The previews make it look just as bad as the one released a few years ago.

9. The Painted Veil though is more representative of Norton |
|
than this crap. I think this is his worst movie ever. I love you, Norton, but WHY?
Money? Fame? You've got all that... no one's perfect...

Nicholas Cage in Leaving Las Vegas and Matchstick men, and then he's in crap, makes me wonder if he does it so ha can go make smaller films.

This isn't just a paycheck for him - he's been heavily involved in the film from the start.

|
Ed Norton always seems to do a great job in every movie I've seen him in and he's the main reason I want to see this new Hulk so bad. The first one was absolutely tripe and Imma be real disappointed if this one turns out to be as bad.
