We ate at Outback last night.
I gotta say, for mid-priced chain restaurants, their food is GREAT.

I AM NOT ASHAMED. BRING ON THE FLAMES!

2. To hell with the flames. I freaking LOVE Outback.

My usual routine is to go in, immediately beg for a loaf of that yummy brown bread, order the baked potato soup w/bacon bits and cheese (hold the chives), and then a ribeye with horseradish sauce, grilled mushrooms, and a baked sweet potato. Mmmmmmm.

ThinkBlue1966 and OktoberKid prefer the ribs, but I'm a steak kinda girl. :hi:

Edit: Of course, this is purely a memory-dream right now. We've only "eaten out" at a place nicer than Mickey D's once in the past two years.

I swear, when I'm finally out of college, I'm going to kill myself in order to become a well-known poet, so that intelligent, interesting people will ask me to dinner and pick up the tab. :hide:

3. That bread must contain crack, I swear.
We were starving when we got there (neither of us had eaten lunch) and we plowed through THREE loaves of it before we got our dinner! Heh. And the slightly-sweet butter! *drool*

I always get the sirloin with the garlic mashed potatoes and the steamed broccoli. SO YUMMY. I'm eating the leftovers for lunch today RIGHT NOW.

10. God, I know. That bread is addictive.
I like to tear it up into chunks and toss them into my bowl of baked potato soup.

*tummy growl*

9. Yep
Asked a family member about this and they confirmed it. I also know someone in a compnay YOU HAVE HEARD OF who is pressured to give to their PAC too. This is a common thing

Outback's is mostly against raising the minimum wage and not allowing unionization (in Va. for instance)

That being said the owner of Outback DID buy a 747 and have everything gutted out of it and flew an entire restaurant kitchen and TONS of steaks and onions and bread over to Afghanistan and fed the troops at the beginning of the actual war on terror. My cousin got some and it was greatly appreciated.

16. hey, DeposetheBoyKing, Bullwinkle925 and I enjoyed a wonderful meal at Outback
a few weeks ago. We chose it because it was easy to find for them as they were in an unfamiliar part of town. I had never eaten at Outback before.

We had originally considered TExas Road House which has excellent food, but is NOT a good place for a nice conversation. Depose and I ate there once and we were both hoarse when we left. Way too noisy for just normal talking
