Why is the "Incredible Hulk" green?
The gamma ray overdose thing about him going ultra Testosterone when pissed I can follow.

But why green?

Any comic trivia geniuses with an answer to that one?

3. As I recall, he was supposed to be grey.
Edited on Thu Jun-12-08 04:28 PM by Mojambo
But the early inking technology made it easier for him to be green in print. Or maybe I have that ass backwards... I can't remember.

I realize that doesn't really come to the heart of your question, which was why he would change colors at all.

So I guess what I'm saying is I have no idea.

4. where does the extra mass come from?
The strength I could go with, even the green, but you can't just suddenly have something go from 160 pounds to 1600 pounds without some extra source of mass.

6. And that leads to the old question...why does he split his shirt but not his pants?
Cause...yeah. He is about 3 times bigger at least.

11. Magic pants?
Of course, "magic pants" could mean something entirely different.

9. It has to do with the second law of comicdynamics
Or is it conservation of mass-energy-meaningfulness? Isaac Newtowne's laws of paradox?

5. Sometimes he's gray. He may be strong, but apparently indecisive as well.
