Who Let the Dogs Out, YMCA....I'll take as many as you can throw at me!

I'm going to take it to our Company Picnic in July--and save it for when everyone is REALLY drunk.

I'll even stick "The Hokey Pokey" on there, to remind everyone how much better kids have it today.

Thanx for any assist. I know I can count on you to dig DEEP for this one!

32. Oh, I WOULD get fired if I included "Honey" and most of my co-workers are too young!
I was alive and listening when it was an AM "Hit". The coolest thing I ever saw was the Smothers Brothers do a great satire on it--Dick was singing the song, and taking people on a tour of "Honey's House"--showing them all her wet snot rags and half-eaten TV dinners while he blubbered thru the treacly lyrics. Nobody did stuff like that in the 60s, it's not like they were on irony overload like we are now.

Edited on Thu Jun-12-08 11:21 PM by yellowdogintexas
this version of "In the Mood" is actually clucked by chickens. The 'group' is the Henhouse Five Plus Two

The first time I heard it I was stuck in bad, parking lot like traffic on a very rainy afternoon in Nashville; I just started howling with laughter. I looked around me and the people in all the other cars were falling out laughing, face down on the steering wheel, howling. You have to hear it to believe it.

woo hoo: edited to add link to a Puppet Theater of 'In the Mood"

84. Let's see: Informer, by Snow; anything by MC Hammer, Pop Goes the Weasel, by 3rd Bass...
(because the one of the few things more lame than Vanilla Ice is another one-hit wonder band whose one hit was making fun of him), Nightmare on My Street, by DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince (feel free to substitute Parents Just Don't Understand), Hot Hot Hot, by Buster Pointexter, and of course, Rhythm of the Night, by El Debarge.

I'm sure I could come up with more, but I need to purge the memory with a bit of The Pogues.
