Why do I get Google Deutschland and not google.com, even when I type the exact web address? Sorry, but I can't figure it out. I'm not the most computer literate person in the world, that's for sure.

1. Try from a command line |
|
ipconfig /flushdns
Sounds like a bad DNS record in the DNScache.

you'll automatically get Google Deutschland, much the same as if you're in the UK, you get Google UK. Are you going through a proxy server? We had a problem at one job I worked in the States, where the network traffic for the internet routed through a company in France, so if you went to Google, you got Google France. The Google page will look at your IP address to determine what country you're in, and route you to their page in that language. Your PC's IP address is different than the IP address that accesses the internet, even on a home network.
