6. Indeed. Armed Forces is Costello's finest work.
Accidents Will Happen
Oliver's Army
Green Shirt
Party Girl
Goon Squard
Busy Bodies
Moods For Moderns
Chemistry Class

It's all there.

7. another vote for 'Armed Forces'
'Ten Bloody Marys........' that was called 'Taking Liberties' on this side o' the pond. Just like Lowe's 'Jesus of Cool' was retitled 'Pure Pop for Now People'.....something about those religious references I guess. :eyes:

this year's model, i think, must take the honors. stands the test of time.
the juliet letters, runner-up, for sheer originality if nothing else.

10. I'm fond of Kojak Variety
Although I know it is not considered one of his classic works.

My personal fave. Followed closely by Get Happy and My Aim is True.

14. This Year's Model...
with Get Happy and Armed Forces tied for a very close second.

All three are major, major top-shelf works, required listening for any true fan of modern rock. I wish he could have kept it up longer than he did (I stopped being enthralled by his stuff after Imperial Bedroom---itself a classic album). Last time I saw him, four years ago, he was totally into that Bacharach/crooner thing, and I just didn't feel it. He hasn't the voice for it! That's my take, anyway. Feel free to disagree. Elvis is one of the greats.
