Whats on the Menu at the French Market this weekend?
The Annual Creole Tomtato Fest will be held in the Farmer's Market in NOLA today through Sunday. Some of what you can get at the 20 food booths:

- Fried Green Tomatoes
- Creole Tomato Basil Crepe
- Blooming Onion on a Bed of Creole Tomato
- Stuffed Shrimp with Grilled Creole
- Creole Tomato Cream Crawfish Pie
- Creole Tomato Bloody Mary
- AND MORE


And also this weekend The Louisiana Seafood Festival is occuring across the street from the Farmer's Market at the US Mint along with the Louisiana Cajun-Zydeco Music Festival. Good time will be had by all Cher!!!

1. I went to that once, way back when.
The Neville Brothers played.

This was long enough ago that there was no such thing as a "blooming onion"! :(

2. The Mrs and I are meandering
that way tomorrow. Its her choice of restaurants this trip but we will probably pig out at the Tomato Fest. My creole crop has been very good so far this year. Gonna have a second planting in a couple of weeks.

7. Not quite sure but I suspect
lightly grilled sliced tomatoes engulfing shrimp. The presentation of some of these dishes is quite appealing. And to think I was going to take my wife to the quarter to a nice restaurant tomorrow. Most likely not necessary now. We'll just pig out on Farmer's Market chow.

5. Creole tomatoes couldn't possibly be responsible for the outbreak.
They simply don't get wide enough distribution. They are found primarily in southern La. and Miss. and certainly aren't shipped to, what, 23 states now?
