It's true; I have stopped doing TNR, at least for now. I'm burnt out. All I can do is to lend out my traps.*

I keep getting calls from people who need help. Today I got a brand-new kind of request: for financial assistance. A woman on a fixed income can trap the cat but can't afford to get it spayed. She's doing what she should. But I can't help her with this. I gave her some more resources to call.

I lend my traps and I give advice over the phone. Sometimes, the advice-giving is almost as draining as a trapping day. Some of the calls that I've had . . . these people seem to be on the edge of sanity sometimes.

I've asked ACA to get my name off their list three times. Maybe the fourth time will be the charm.

just letting the frustration out will make it better, I think!

I understand needing to not think of that stuff for a while, it must be draining trying to help out the wild kitties. I don't have my own trap but I've wanted one.. for like years.

2. I'm glad I didn't let it out at this woman who called today.

I've been burnt out now on three things. I'm ready to go back to softball, and maybe to singing. But it'll take a while before I can help the kitties again. Unless we get new ferals at our house. Gotta take care of the ones we feed.
