Why is it illegal for women to go topless?

I saw the post about the fellow who got arrested for going topless and I thought; well, what is the problem with topless in general? Nobody should be persecuted for being topless. They don't make a big deal about it in some other countries. Sure, its not good in food establishments but why not on the beach. Why are tits such a big deal? Would it cause social unrest to have them out. I think it would make the world a more beautiful place to live. The forests are beautiful, the rivers are beautiful, the trees are beautiful women are beautiful tits are beautiful. I don't expect much disagreement on this issue :rofl: but I thought I would at least state my position. I go skinny all the time where it's legal. Have since the 60s. It never caused any problems to anyone. Why are we such prudes in this country?

Among the people at the beach the two most common are people enjoying the sun and surf and who are not prudish about nudity.

Then there are the men who go to stare at women. They are so obvious but they think they are being subtle. The beach could be a mile long with hardly anyone on it. Lots of open space to put your towel yet they plop themselves a few yards away from the feet of the women. Just to stare.
