I just burst into tears in the store and I want to thank the lounge lizards...
I want to thank the lounge lizards for letting me vent yesterday without judgment, seriously.

I posted this yesterday:

I hate my new doctor!! What a complete asshole!!! http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=105&topic_id=7828007&mesg_id=7828007

And I couldn't figure it out last night, why I had let this son of a bitch upset me like that!! It really made me angry and then I forgot about it but I woke up this morning crying (odd) and that pissed my off too and then I realized something!!!!!!

 I think I figured it out!! It took me all night, but I think I figured it out!

Now I know why that doctor upset me so much!!

He's JUST like my ex-husband!! Just as angry, abusive and angry!!! Just as THREATENING!!!!!

I don't know why I couldn't "connect-the-dots" yesterday but I finally did this morning..... I'm so happy that I figured out WHY that douchebag got me so upset!!! I don't know why I didn't figure that out right away and now I'm thinking I was in some sort of shock or denial. I don't know.... but thank you, lounge lizards!! Yesterday, You just let me say what I needed to say without judging me and I think it helped me a lot!!!

I made the connection, in my sleep, and I'm still crying but now I know why and am taking back the control!!

I can't believe this. The guy at the store was so nice to me.... I couldn't believe I totally lost it in the store... to the point of sobbing....  I've never lost control in a public place like that. OMG!

Thanks, DU Loungers. I really needed to figure out why that guy (Dr) freaked me out
so bad yesterday, and I did, finally, and you helped me to do that!

Thanks for listening to me.

3. Am so glad you got this figured out
Went back and read your original post about your new doc.

Whether he's like your ex or not, he's definitely a first-class asshole.

Here's hoping you find a new doc who treats you with respect, kindness and compassion...as it should be! :toast:

I'll be finding a new Dr. asap! That's for sure. This whole experience just totally blew my mind
and even saying that, now, after all these years, blows my mind.... I feel FREE today, more
than I ever have before... it sounds nuts but that's the way it is, for me... today.

4. Bob Dylan - 'It's All Over Now, Baby Blue'
It's All Over Now, Baby Blue

It's All Over Now, Baby Blue

http://www.bobdylan.com/songs/babyblue.html

You must leave now, take what you need, you think will last.
But whatever you wish to keep, you better grab it fast.
Yonder stands your orphan with his gun,
Crying like a fire in the sun.
Look out the saints are comin' through
And it's all over now, Baby Blue.

The highway is for gamblers, better use your sense.
Take what you have gathered from coincidence.
The empty-handed painter from your streets
Is drawing crazy patterns on your sheets.
This sky, too, is folding under you
And it's all over now, Baby Blue.

All your seasick sailors, they are rowing home.
All your reindeer armies, are all going home.
The lover who just walked out your door
Has taken all his blankets from the floor.
The carpet, too, is moving under you
And it's all over now, Baby Blue.

Leave your stepping stones behind, something calls for you.
Forget the dead you've left, they will not follow you.
The vagabond who's rapping at your door
Is standing in the clothes that you once wore.
Strike another match, go start anew
And it's all over now, Baby Blue.

10. I hate crying (especially like that) but he is a nice guy....
He's 'just a store clerk' but I've known him for 8 years now.
He said what you said... "I'm glad you figured it out. No one
needs to live life wondering about the shit that happened years
ago. Have a better day today and cheer up, OK?!" I just feel foolish
for losing control but I guess it doesn't matter. No one was in the
store, except me and him.

7. Sorry I didn't see your original thread...
I'm glad you are feeling better now that you've gotten some of the frustration out of your system.

Hey... doctors aren't worth it. Next time you go in for a doctor's office visit, go with a list of just one or two important questions. In my experience, doctors get freaked out that they aren't making enough money if you happen to go over their 2 minute time slot. I might be wrong, but that's the impression I get. It's really too bad our health care system as turned into this. :-(

Hope you find a better doctor soon... keep your chin up!

13. This happens all the time, I think!
We feel instant antipathy (or instant attraction) to someone, based on a previous person- be it mother, father, sister, husband- and we don't even realize what's driving us!

Good you made the connection about why you reacted so strongly.

OTOH, the doctor sounds like an asshole in his own right!

16. Sometimes I am.
Not always.

I went to a young female gyno and at the time I had insurance. I was nearing menopause. We were discussing my symptoms, which were not bad.

I had no cancer. When she wanted to do a hysterectomy, I said "But can I keep my ovaries?".

She said "Oh well, we'll do a hysterectomy and take everything out, and put you on hormones."

I don't have insurance anymore, but I do still have all my girly parts, thank you. I've had women tell me that they just felt strange after a hysterectomy.

19. Yikes... what a crappy doctor!
I've had female doctors I didn't like - my preferring female doctors was more of an "in general" thing... I find I am more comfortable talking over certain womanly health subjects with females. I have had excellent male doctors - my appendectomy surgeon and therapist, to name a few. For primary care doctors and gynecologists, I tend to seek out females. :)
