So - Battlestar Galactic: spoilers galore!
Is that our earth or another Earth?

Didn't anybody ever stop before to ask why all the humans left Earth in the first place?

Why not just hie back to New Caprica, or are the other Cylons still out there?

Was Saul Tigh always a skin job, or was he substituted for the original?

Who made the skin jobs, anyways?

Do any of the Centurions or Raiders have any personality?

When is someone going to figure out that the Chief's kid is a hybrid, too, so Hera is not unique.

If Saul Tigh and the 6 are parents-to-be, doesn't that mean that skin jobs don't need humans to reproduce?

Whatever happened to those visions Balter and the 6 had of each other?

Why isn't Sci-fi re-running BSG from the beginning this summer instead of pretending that Stargate Atlantis is a worthy replacement? I mean, Stargate if OK, but it's not BSG!

1. re-running BSG would be awesome
they really should do that.

You have some very good pointed questions. I have wondered about some of those myself.

Not to mention the poisoned ones!

4. My opinions
Edited on Sat Jun-14-08 02:11 PM by Zavulon
Is that our earth or another Earth? - Ours

Didn't anybody ever stop before to ask why all the humans left Earth in the first place? - I'll go with the explanation in Serenity: too many people.

Why not just hie back to New Caprica, or are the other Cylons still out there? - They'll probably go back - we still have half a season to go. They've got to do something other than reveal the last Cylon/

Was Saul Tigh always a skin job, or was he substituted for the original? - I'll go with the latter.

Who made the skin jobs, anyways? - Acme, the company coyotes use to catch fleet-of-foot bords.

Do any of the Centurions or Raiders have any personality? - No more so than Republicans or reality show stars do.

When is someone going to figure out that the Chief's kid is a hybrid, too, so Hera is not unique. - When the scripts get even more boring than the some of the ones I've seen this season.

If Saul Tigh and the 6 are parents-to-be, doesn't that mean that skin jobs don't need humans to reproduce? - I wish I would have thought of this. Great question.

Whatever happened to those visions Balter and the 6 had of each other? - They disappeared as soon as Baltar's usefulness to the Cylons did.

Why isn't Sci-fi re-running BSG from the beginning this summer instead of pretending that Stargate Atlantis is a worthy replacement? I mean, Stargate if OK, but it's not BSG! - They want us to buy the DVDs.

5. "Was Saul Tigh always a skin job, or was he substituted for the original?"

6. Okay!
Is that our earth or another Earth? Dunno, I haven't seen that epizooty, you spoiler!

Didn't anybody ever stop before to ask why all the humans left Earth in the first place?

Who says they left Earth? I say the went there and stayed.

Why not just hie back to New Caprica, or are the other Cylons still out there?

It's a nu-cu-lar wasteland.

Was Saul Tigh always a skin job, or was he substituted for the original?

Probably the former.

Who made the skin jobs, anyways?

God.

Do any of the Centurions or Raiders have any personality?

Yes, the personality of a bashed in shit can.

When is someone going to figure out that the Chief's kid is a hybrid, too, so Hera is not unique.

Opposite; Cally was a human female.

If Saul Tigh and the 6 are parents-to-be, doesn't that mean that skin jobs don't need humans to reproduce?

Saul is one of the final five.

Whatever happened to those visions Baltar and the 6 had of each other?

Notice how Saul also has hallucinations?

Why isn't Sci-fi re-running BSG from the beginning this summer instead of pretending that Stargate Atlantis is a worthy replacement? I mean, Stargate if OK, but it's not BSG!

Bring it on!

7. I thought last night was the series finale!!
glad that's not true!

Is that our earth or another Earth?
I'd say ours, just because it would suck if the last episodes were spent on another wild goose chase.

Didn't anybody ever stop before to ask why all the humans left Earth in the first place?
would you want to be the one who quashes the dreams of these people? it was probably a taboo question that everyone had in mind but no one wanted to voice.

Why not just hie back to New Caprica, or are the other Cylons still out there?
Other Cylons, but they'll likely consider it anyway

Was Saul Tigh always a skin job, or was he substituted for the original?
well, the Sixes were apparently based off a "real" human, as we saw in BSG: Razor, so it's not too much a stretch to imagine that the other human-cylons were based off captured humans. if you're asking was the Tigh Adama has known for 30 years replaced, I'd say no.

Who made the skin jobs, anyways?
maybe the same group that made the shiny new Viper?

Do any of the Centurions or Raiders have any personality?
I think so- that conversation Baltar had with the Centurion suggested such (I was screaming at Baltar that NOW IS NOT A GOOD TIME TO DISCUSS EQUALITY WITH THE STABBY SHOOTY ROBOTS)
it's likely much more basic, like pets (as the human cylons referred to them), but they're also intelligent.

When is someone going to figure out that the Chief's kid is a hybrid, too, so Hera is not unique.
likely as soon as the show picks back up in 2009

If Saul Tigh and the 6 are parents-to-be, doesn't that mean that skin jobs don't need humans to reproduce?
I missed that!

Whatever happened to those visions Balter and the 6 had of each other?
good question, Baltar at least seems to still have them. that's the 6 who is with Tigh now, right? I hope they don't just drop it and hope people forget about it, the visions are one of my favorite parts of the show.

Why isn't Sci-fi re-running BSG from the beginning this summer instead of pretending that Stargate Atlantis is a worthy replacement? I mean, Stargate if OK, but it's not BSG!
well, we also have Eureka, but it's also not worthy.

8. 'Battlestar's' final season expands; TV movie looking good
As "Battlestar Galactica" gets ready to air its mid-season finale on Friday, there are two bits of good news to share regarding the show.

According to well-informed sources, it’s almost certain that at least one “Battlestar Galactica” TV movie will be made this year.

Here’s even better news: The last-ever episode of “Battlestar” will most likely run three hours, which means that final part of Season 4 will be 11 hours long.

You heard that right: The last leg of the show’s final season should expand to 11 hours, instead of the originally planned 10 hours.

As he discussed here, the show’s executive producer, Ronald D. Moore, wrote "Battlestar's" final episode, which, as written, is three hours long (a wild guess here: Sci Fi probably wouldn’t air the whole thing in one night). Mary McDonnell described her reaction to the script this way: It filled her with "an incredible feeling of adrenaline,” she told Ain't It Cool News. “It made me understand the entire saga, and made me excited for all of you.”

9. So awesome...
Is that our earth or another Earth?
It's ours, a few years in the future. What we're seeing is the result of the other Cylons after they caught up with Galactica. Shortly after surveying Earth, someone will show up and tell Adama et al that this is the result unless they confront the Cylons and either make peace or destroy them. (And then the Galactica has to go back much like Starbuck's viper did.) This person, by the way, will turn out to be the 12th Cylon, and we'll find out they've been living on Earth ever since the 13th tribe landed there.

Didn't anybody ever stop before to ask why all the humans left Earth in the first place?
Maybe they did, and we'll see it asked (and answered) in the second half of the season.

Why not just hie back to New Caprica, or are the other Cylons still out there?
It's still a wasteland.

Was Saul Tigh always a skin job, or was he substituted for the original?
Always was, this plan goes back a long way.

Who made the skin jobs, anyways?
Some human scientist(s).

Do any of the Centurions or Raiders have any personality?
Not yet, but that may change.

When is someone going to figure out that the Chief's kid is a hybrid, too, so Hera is not unique.
That thought should be occurring to everyone soon, now that the Chief has been outed.

If Saul Tigh and the 6 are parents-to-be, doesn't that mean that skin jobs don't need humans to reproduce?
It would, but Tigh isn't the father--it's Baltar.

Whatever happened to those visions Balter and the 6 had of each other?
Now that Baltar and the prisoner 6 have been knocking boots, he doesn't need the visions.

Why isn't Sci-fi re-running BSG from the beginning this summer instead of pretending that Stargate Atlantis is a worthy replacement? I mean, Stargate if OK, but it's not BSG!
As someone said above, they want you to buy the DVDs.

I did not type this. I am not here.

10. "It's happened before, and it will happen again."
Do you all not see the continuous loop in the story line?

Here's my theory:

The humans reached Earth which had already been nuked during the last Cylon attack - when the humans last ran away from the Cylons. Those humans ran away and settled in the 12 colonies. Their society developed once more until the Cylons rose again and nuked the 12 colonies. Now those refugees have returned to Earth where they have discovered the remains of the ancient Earth civilization. Their journey has actually come full circle.

Ever wonder why the Cylons believe in one God, as many do on modern-day Earth?

Ever wonder why the 12 colonies herald back to the days of polytheism, specifically Greek polytheism - an ancient Earth construct?

And I think all humans are different gradations of a human-cylon mix, as interbreeding has already occurred over the generations separating the nuclear attacks.
