Computer Internet geeks, I need some help...

Ever since I went from Windows '98 to Windows XP, I get this message when I try to log on to the website:

You don't have permission to access /story/2008/6/13/20429/1751 on this server.

Anyone know why?

1. You probably need permission to access the directory (password-protected)

You probably had a cookie set on your old browser, and when you replaced the OS, you overwrote the old version of the browser an any cookies you may have had stored in it.

You will probably have to contact the site admin to get permission to access that directory.

2. Get Mozilla

It puts the control back in your hands - not some vague control panel.

3. If you're using Internet Explorer, go to Tools --> Internet Options...

Connections tab, click LAN Settings. Uncheck everything in there, hit OK, then OK on the Internet Options window. Might want to exit IE then start it back up. Should do the trick.

Or, an even better solution, install Firefox. :P
