1. We had a lightning strike so close late last night
that the whole house shook and it woke both of us up, terrified, from a sound sleep. It was like a bomb going off next door.

4. I can lend you our cat, the thunderstorm diverter
For as long as we've had him, thunderstorms have, for the most part, gone around us (and this is in three different locations). He HATES "the booms", so we decided long ago that he was making sure they got diverted so he wouldn't have to deal with them. Seriously--storms that look like they're headed straight for us suddenly veer off at the last minute, or dissipate altogether. He's totally freaky. And it's a little bit of a bummer, because we'd like to enjoy some (MILD) thunderstorms every once in a while. Here's a pic of His Grumpiness stuffing himself in a small boxtop for no reason other than the challenge:

10. We have a saying around our house
"Dilbert (so named because when he was a kitten, he was fascinated by the computer) says 'humph.'" He ALWAYS looks like that, like he's thinking "Damned sister cats. Humph. Stupid dry catfood. Humph. This box is MINE even though I can't fit in it. Humph." Etc.!
