They really fuck everything up. Is there anything more pathetic than Tommy Lee and his revolving kit or a half-hour Ginger Baker tour de force???
The only drum solo's I would even consider listening to would be found in jazz.
Drum solo's were only popular when people would be tripping on acid in the late 1960's.
I do a really cool drum solo for the sound check or when there's a power failure btw.
Now bass and drums, that's a different story entirely.
Drum solo's are usually exhibitionist bullshit, they really SUCK.
