I brought this up, not only becuase of the other thread, but because my brother laughed in my face when I predicted that Eastwood would be one of the greats. That was even before 'Bird.'

God, can't you just see Eastwood struggling up out of his rocker to land a gristly punch into the face of a guy one third his age? Smart move, backing down and hiding, kid. Goddamn, Eastwood is mean. I'll bet Schwarzenegger's got his security on 24 hour alert since he fired Eastwood to push thru that big coastal highway he wanted. They still haven't started laying down that highway reportedly because Clint keeps punching the bulldozers out of commission. And then eating the cement for dessert.
