I had a Clinique consultation today and came home with a baggie full of freebies |
|
and it was fun. She tried a bunch of new stuff on me that I hadn't tried before. The dept store is having a promotion where if you come in for a makeup consultation, you get 2 nice samples, but she gave me a bunch more other stuff too. I restocked on a couple things I use all the time but she loaded me down with cool stuff.
It was fun..and she is a good Dem too..

8. the base I got is actually called tinted moisturizer. It is very light |
|
and has SPF 15. It mostly just evens out my skin tone which is fair but has some blotchy places, and I have dark circles under my eyes.
I don't wear foundation every day, but I do like it when I get dressed up, I just feel more finished out. With Clinique, you never have to buy blush, lipstick, mascara or eyeshadow, because they love to give that stuff away in the gift baggies.
One of the more recent gift bags from Clinique had a nice sized sample of the tinted moisturizer, and I really liked it a lot. This tube I bought today will last a long while. :hi:

7. Wow.... I never get any freebies! |
|
And their stuff is tres expensive. I buy their "dramatically different moisturizing lotion." A bottle lasts me a whole school year!
I love to go to the department store to have my make-up done. I just went for the Lancome special and the "free" gift (the tote bag and samples). Fun! :D

9. find out when the stores that carry it in your area do their gift with |
|
purchase promotion, and get on their mailing list so you get the other promotions in the mail as well.
We have 4 stores locally that sell it, Dillard's, Macy's, Nordstrom's and Neiman-Marcus. I manage to catch the promotions @ Dillard's and Macy's regularly and occasionally the other stored. But there will be two promotions per year at every store that carries it. That is when I stock up on stuff.
The other promotions like the one I did today offer samples of certain specific things. The young lady who did my session also threw in mini sizes of several of the things she suggested I try before I actually purchased them, since I had not used them before.
One time Macy's had a thing they sent out that gave you a full size of one of their expensive specialty moisturizers if you just purchased something. I was out of the soap I like, so I just restocked my soap and got a whole tube of $39 antioxidant moisturizer.
