My wife is the best there is |
|
She is the smartest and most compassionate person I have ever met. She on a trip for a few days I miss her. She is all I'll ever need or want. She is not perfect but she is perfect for me.
Third time is a charm - 8 years - together forever.

2. What a sweet, romantic tribute to her. |
|
I hope that you find something to make the time pass fast until you have her back in your arms.

She was beautiful, smart, creative. She wrote poetry for me and about me. She didn't care I was a geek, she joined in. No matter what I did she was there with me. And didn't care that I'm gay. How cool is that?

12. Hey, wow, that's great! I need your attitude, dude... |
|
...Because I could say, and SHOULD say, the same about my wife. But we have, of late, become bogged down in petty problems and daily crises, and I really don't step back enough and appreciate the many ways she's brought real joy and meaning to my life. Ha! And I remember, not long after I met her, that I told her, "I'm not perfect...but I'm perfect for you." She thought that was so sweet! I had to admit I was quoting a Grace Jones song. Ha!

17. Our philosophy is "I'm Not Ok - You're Not OK and Thats OK" |
|
I read a book once that said "Holding a door open for a person at the post office is more important than winning the Nobel Prize" It's the little things. You realize the truth of that when you talk to people who have had near death experiences and that is what the book was about; and some marriages are like that. If they live, they return with the truth that little acts of kindness and love return meaning and shape existence more beautifully. I wish you all the happiness of existence with your soul mate.

19. That is one FINE philosophy, my friend... |
|
...and beautiful, because it sums up the human condition (we are not perfect) and extends out from that. Nice. I know that I, and my wife, need to spend more time on the "small" things. The little acts of kindness, as you say. My ego, and my grandiosity and self-importance, have led me away from what is truly meaningful and real in my life and my marriage.
